This tour offers an immersive journey through the diverse landscapes and vibrant cultures of Morocco, encompassing bustling cities, breathtaking desert landscapes, charming mountain villages, and a historical port city.
After breakfast, we will start the desert tour. You will cross the High Atlas mountains, through the highest port of the Tizi country in Tichka (2,260m altitude), then you will pass through interesting villages until you reach the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987), an enclosure fortified within a walled town that you will surely recognize, since this citadel has been the setting for very famous films. Continuing the route, we will pass through Ouarzazate, we will resume the Thousand Kasbahs Road towards Skoura, and from there we will cross the Roses Valley to finally reach the Dades Valley. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel located in the Dades Gorges.
After breakfast, you will continue the route passing through many Berber villages. You will visit the Gorges of Todra with the possibility of eating there to take advantage and see the impressive place with tranquility. Once the visit is finished, we will go directly to the golden dunes of the Erg Chebbi, where you will start the excursion in a dromedary, making a stop to watch the sunset, until we reach the heart of the desert. Upon arrival, an excellent and refreshing tea and an exquisite Berber dinner will await you, all enlivened with the music of the tam-tam (drums). You will enjoy a unique and unforgettable night, thanks to the large number of stars that populate the desert nights. They will sleep in Berber tents.
This is a complete Desert day. “Date with the sunrise” If you are In the middle of the desert, it’s absolutely worth getting up early to contemplate the most spectacular sunrise you’ve ever seen at the top of a dune close to the camp and enjoy this landscape that is a gift of nature. After sunrise we return to Merzouga on the camels where a hearty breakfast is waiting for us. Then we’ll skirt the Erg Chebbi, great extension of sandy desert where we can find the Big Dune of Morocco. which has more than 250mts high. We continue then by the road that was formerly used for the “Paris – Dakar” and ends in the mountains that limit with Argelia. Stop at Tissardmin oasis where we can find fossil quarries still present in the area, we continue then by a road where we can see nomad settlements and learn their secrets and manners. The next stop will be at a viewpoint to contemplate the hole Erg Chebbi. We’ll reach then Kamilia Village, originally from Mali, where we’ll take a relaxing cup of tea meanwhile we listen to a concert of the spiritual music of Gnawa.Transfer to your accommodation and free afternoon to enjoy the town or the dunes next to the hotel to see the sunset. Dinner and night in Merzouga desert.
You are already in the desert, enjoying the magic of the dunes …! Today, it is mandatory to get up early to see the sunrise from the top of the dunes, we will have breakfast and say goodbye to the desert. We will go to the north of the country through the Ziz Valley taking advantage of the freshness of the blue Meski fountain where you can rest. Planned stop in Midelt for lunch and then we will continue to Fez, passing through the towns of Ifrane and Azrou. During the journey we will cross the cedar forest, with ancient cedars and you can enjoy seeing the Barbary macaques or monkeys from Gibraltar. Accommodation in Fez.
You will have a guided tour of Fes to visit the Fontaine Ennajarine, also Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the Karawiyin Mosque. This tour will include a visit to the tannery and the ceramics cooperative to see the traditional moroccan crafts. You can spend the afternoon exploring the fascinating medina before having dinner at a local restaurant (not included). We spend another night in Fes in local riad/hotel.
After breakfast we will continue to the Chefchaouen, a holy city hanging on the mountain, located within a natural biosphere reserve. Its streets painted in blue and white, a town of wise, friendly and respectful people, offer visitors beautiful urban landscapes, precious samples of local crafts and a peace and serenity that is difficult to find today. Accommodation in Chaouen.
At the agreed time, we will have the departure from the blue city to Tangier. Transfer to the destination and end of our services.
