New Year's Eve Special Dinner: Most hotels hold a special dinner on New Year's Eve, which in many cases is mandatory, regardless of the meal plan booked. When making your reservation, you will be informed if the hotel requires the booking of this dinner and its cost.
Hotel Category: In southern Morocco, hotel standards may be slightly lower compared to major cities. We adapt to the available options, ensuring the best establishments that meet high standards of comfort and quality.
Changes to the Itinerary Order: The order of the itinerary may be modified without prior notice, as well as the timing of visits, but the full program of tours and excursions will be maintained.
Lost Luggage: In case of lost luggage by the airline, the organizer will provide assistance within their means to help recover it, although this is not an obligation. Recovery expenses will be borne by the clients. The tour will not be altered due to this cause.
Late Arrivals: Clients arriving in Morocco after 8:00 PM will miss dinner on the first day, as hotel restaurants will be closed.
Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Marrakech
Upon your arrival at Marrakech airport, a comfortable transfer will take you directly to your accommodation. You will have the rest of the day free to start discovering the city on your own: explore the colorful souks, stroll through its gardens, or immerse yourself in the energy of Jemaa el-Fna Square. This first contact will allow you to acclimate and begin enjoying the unmistakable atmosphere of the Red City.
Day 2: Discovering Marrakech – Half-Day Tour
We begin the day by visiting the peaceful Menara Gardens, a symbol of serenity. Then, we will head to the Bahia Palace, an architectural gem surrounded by lush courtyards. We will admire the impressive Koutoubia Mosque from the outside before heading to the Mellah, the Jewish quarter, full of history and traditions. Our route continues to the Ben Youssef Madrasa, one of the most beautiful Koranic schools in the country. We finish this visit at the iconic Jemaa el-Fna Square, where local life is displayed at its fullest.
Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Atlas Studios – Ouarzazate
Today, we depart from Marrakech toward the stunning Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage ksar, where we will explore its traditional adobe buildings and enjoy panoramic views of the desert. Next, we visit the Atlas Studios, famous for being the setting of many international film productions. At the end of the day, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert, where we will stay and have free time to explore the city at our own pace.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Kelaa M'Gouna – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga
Today, we will travel through the fascinating route of oases and small Berber villages, passing through Skoura, known for its palm groves and kasbahs, before reaching the pink village of Kelaa M'Gouna, famous for its rose cultivation and vibrant market. We continue along the Dades Valley, enjoying stunning landscapes until we reach the Todra Gorges, where we will stop for a photo walk through this impressive canyon with towering rock walls. We then proceed to Erfoud, a small town famous for its fossils, before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the desert. Upon arrival, we will settle into a desert lodge, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and spend the night under the stars, experiencing the magic of the Sahara.
Day 5: Exploring the Desert in 4x4 – Camel Ride and Overnight in the Desert
Today we venture into the Merzouga desert on an exciting 4x4 tour, traveling across the golden dunes and visiting nomadic villages to learn about their traditional way of life. We continue toward the Tissardmine oasis, a peaceful retreat in the heart of the desert. Next, we arrive at Khamlia, a picturesque village of descendants of African slaves, where we will enjoy a Gnaoua music performance. In the afternoon, we prepare for a unique experience: a camel ride to the highest dunes, where we will watch a spectacular sunset that paints the desert with magical colors. Finally, we will spend the night in a Berber camp, enjoying traditional dishes under the stars, living an authentic Sahara experience.
Day 6: Desert – Errachidia – Middle Atlas – Ifrane – Fez
After a delicious breakfast in the desert, we depart for Errachidia, crossing the Middle Atlas and enjoying breathtaking mountain landscapes. We continue toward Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its alpine architecture and cool atmosphere. We will make a brief stop to enjoy its natural beauty and peaceful ambiance. Later, we continue to Fez, one of Morocco’s most iconic cities, where we will arrive by the late afternoon. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel to rest and prepare for exploring this fascinating city the next day.
Day 7: Fez – A Journey Through History
We begin our tour of Fez, Morocco’s oldest imperial city. We will visit the impressive Golden Gates of the Royal Palace, an architectural wonder that represents the best of Moroccan design. Our exploration continues with the Bou Inania Madrasa, famous for its exquisite Islamic architecture, and the Nejjarine Fountain, a work of art adorned with mosaics and wood carvings.
Next, we head to the Karaouine Mosque, one of the most significant mosques in the Islamic world and home to the University of Fez, the oldest functioning university. We then enter the pedestrianized medina of Fez, famous for its vibrant life and rich history. We visit the traditional tanneries of Fez, where artisans still use ancient techniques to dye leather, and the local pottery, renowned for its handcrafted ceramic pieces.
We conclude the day with a restful night at the hotel after an unforgettable experience in one of Morocco’s most iconic cities.
Day 8: Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we depart for Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. We will make a brief visit to its most important monuments, including the Bab Mansour Gate and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, which reflect the grandeur of the city. Next, we head to Volubilis, a Roman archaeological site recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. There, we will explore its ruins, mosaics, and the legacy of ancient Rome.
We then continue to Chefchaouen, the charming blue city, famous for its blue-painted houses and peaceful atmosphere. Upon arrival, we will have free time to wander through the picturesque streets and soak in its unique beauty. We will spend the night in Chefchaouen, where the relaxed ambiance and charm will provide an unforgettable experience.
Day 9: Chefchaouen – Tangier
After a delicious breakfast in Chefchaouen, we head to Tangier, a vibrant city that connects Africa with Europe. Along the way, we will enjoy panoramic views of the mountains and captivating landscapes. Upon arrival in Tangier, we will take a scenic tour, visiting its historic medina, the port, and Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic and Mediterranean Oceans meet. We will have free time to explore the markets, streets, and enjoy the sea breeze. We conclude the day with accommodation at the hotel.
Day 10: Transfer to Port or Airport
After breakfast, we will transfer to the Tangier port for those wishing to take the ferry to Europe, or to Tangier airport for those traveling by plane. This marks the end of this fascinating adventure through Morocco’s imperial cities, taking with you unforgettable memories of this extraordinary journey.
